May I ask how one applies a background to a BIOS? Seems like the kind of useless customisation I need to occupy my limitless spare time

you may need a mobo that supports a customisable bios background, kinda like the ones that you can change the post image. however i have no factual evidence to back this claim up

I have an asus rog mobo and as i remember the fried mobo was also of that line, so it shouldn't be too difficult to replicate. Google will aid me in my quest for continued nerdage...

one option, get a magazine, flick through it until you find a pic you like, cut it out, using sticky tape (or some other form of sticky medium) and attach that to your screen.
